Star Services LLC is a leading provider of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services in the oil and gas industry. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Telecom Superintendent to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
As the Telecom Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of all telecom systems on our EPC projects. You will work closely with the project management team to ensure that all telecom activities are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate and supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of all telecom systems on EPC projects
- Develop project-specific telecom installation and testing procedures in accordance with industry standards and client requirements
- Review project plans and specifications to identify telecom system requirements and ensure compliance with project specifications
- Manage and coordinate the activities of subcontractors and vendors involved in the installation, testing, and commissioning of telecom systems
- Monitor project progress and identify any potential delays or issues, and take corrective actions as necessary
- Ensure that all telecom systems are installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project requirements and identify any areas for improvement
- Provide technical support and guidance to the project team and subcontractors on telecom-related matters
- Prepare progress reports and provide updates to the project management team on the status of telecom activities
- Ensure that all project documentation, including test reports and as-built drawings, are completed accurately and in a timely manner
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the installation, testing, and commissioning of telecom systems in the oil and gas industry
- Strong knowledge of telecom systems, including CCTV, access control, PA/GA, radio, and telephony systems
- Experience in managing and coordinating subcontractors and vendors
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Willingness to work on-site in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
