Telecom Fiber Splicer- Michigan

Full-time | Travel Across Multiple Michigan Cities

We are looking for an experienced Fiber Splicer who can hit the ground running and manage day-to-day splicing work with confidence and accuracy. This role requires regular travel across multiple cities in Michigan and a strong working knowledge of fiber construction, troubleshooting, and testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform fiber splicing, testing, and troubleshooting on active and passive networks
• Complete day-to-day splicing tasks with minimal supervision
• Read and interpret fiber plans, splice documents, and network diagrams
• Use OTDR, power meters, and other testing equipment to verify quality
• Work in outdoor, underground, and aerial environments as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation, labeling, and project records
• Communicate effectively with project managers, field crews, and clients
• Travel to job sites across Michigan (company-paid travel)

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Fiber Splicer in telecom construction
• Ability to splice, test, and troubleshoot independently
• Strong understanding of fiber networks, equipment, and safety standards
• Comfortable working outdoors and in varying field conditions
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to manage daily workload without oversight
