Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your telecom expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.
You'll play a pivotal role in designing and implementing advanced telecom sub-systems, such as VOIP and telephony, for our Urban and Mainline projects. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Project Engineering Managers, other Sub-System Leaders, Interface Managers, Civil Contractors, and more), participate in design workshops with customers, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality design documents. You’ll also engage with vendors and support testing and commissioning teams, ensuring seamless integration of telecom systems.
You’ll specifically take care of preparing system design documents, managing interfaces with key stakeholders, and collaborating with OEMs, but also contribute to baseline development activities to enhance our telecom solutions.
We’ll look to you for:
Designing VOIP and telephony systems to meet customer requirements
Supporting interface activities with other systems such as signalling and rolling stock
Participating in technical workshops with customers and stakeholders
Supervising and supporting testing and commissioning teams
Interfacing with OEMs for telecom sub-systems
Ensuring timely closure of design documents with customers

Degree in Telecommunications, IT, or a related field
5 to 7 years of relevant experience in the rail telecom domain or IT/Telecom industry
Experience in designing telecom sub-systems to meet operational and functional requirements
Understanding of developing interfaces between telecom systems and other systems like signalling or rolling stock
Systems thinking mindset and acumen
Strong communication and team orientation skills
Flexibility and resilience to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Aptitude for translating customer requirements into architecture and design documents
