Job Description
About the company
Our client is a law firm.
The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Draft and negotiate commercial technology agreements while serving as a trusted legal adviser to business owners. The role sits within a cross-functional client team, includes directing support staff, and involves helping shape technology-assisted ways of delivering legal work.
What you'll do
- Prepare, review and negotiate software, data processing and other commercial agreements for a varied client base.
- Give business owners practical guidance on technology deals, privacy compliance and the contract lifecycle.
- Collaborate within a dedicated client team of attorneys, paralegals and operations colleagues.
- Assign tasks to paralegals with clear context and oversee the results for accuracy and consistency.
- Partner with engineers and product colleagues to improve AI-enabled legal workflows.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- At least 3 to 4 years of focused technology transactions experience, not simply years since law school.
- Background at a large or top-tier law firm, or a top-firm background combined with in-house commercial experience.
- Exposure to a broad range of clients and industries rather than a single client.
- Healthcare-related experience, including business associate agreements, HIPAA and working with regulated customers.
- Hands-on data privacy skills, including drafting data processing agreements and privacy provisions in service agreements.
- Solid experience with commercial contracting and software agreements.
- Curiosity about AI tools, a entrepreneurial mindset and a record of taking initiative with new technology.
- Ability to delegate with full context and think several steps ahead.
- Desire to build a long-term career with the firm.
