ACES Chase Academy Interdistrict Magnet School is looking for a dynamic and passionate full-time certified teacher to teach our nationally-recognized Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Engineering Program for grades 6-12.   As a PLTW Engineering Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and hands-on engineering education to our students. Your role will be instrumental in fostering a love for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) subjects and preparing students for future success in engineering and related fields.  PLTW is an innovative project-based learning program that incorporates science, technology, engineering, and math.  It engages students in hands-on activities, projects, and problems, and empowers them to solve real-world challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Delivery: Implement Project Lead the Way's Engineering curriculum for grades 6-12. Deliver lessons that align with PLTW standards, emphasizing creativity, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.
- Hands-on Projects: Lead and facilitate various hands-on projects and activities, encouraging students to apply engineering principles in real-world scenarios. Foster a collaborative and inclusive learning environment where students can experiment, build prototypes, and develop innovative solutions.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a safe and organized learning environment, ensuring that classroom rules and procedures are established and consistently followed. Manage student behavior effectively and address any issues that arise with a positive and proactive approach.
- Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest trends, developments, and best practices in engineering education and incorporate them into your teaching strategies. Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and expertise.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other STEM teachers, faculty members, and school leadership to integrate PLTW Engineering concepts into cross-curricular activities and promote a cohesive learning experience for students.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure that all engineering activities are conducted in compliance with safety standards, and provide appropriate safety guidelines and protocols to students.

Qualifications

Qualifications
CT Certification that covers grades 6-12 is required.  (047 Technology Education PK-12 preferred).
