The Technology Systems and Business Analyst position at the City of Tucson’s Planning and Development Services Department manages and supports the department’s technology needs. This position serves as a subject matter expert responsible for assessing business and operational needs and identifying technology solutions that improve service delivery, efficiency, data management, and customer experience.
The position coordinates across departments, vendors, and internal and external users to ensure technology systems support current and future business needs.
Work is performed under the supervision of the Business Operations Administrator. This position does not supervise.
Mostly office environment. The position may occasionally work in other City facilities or field locations. Work schedule may include early mornings nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
Bachelor's degree
Five (5) years of relevant experience
Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
License:
A valid and unrestricted driver’s license with two (2) years of licensed driving is required.
Experience supporting enterprise business systems, including permitting, licensing, land management, workflow, and case management systems.
Experience analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, documenting workflows, and implementing system improvements.
Experience with data analysis, reporting, dashboards, business intelligence tools, system configuration, integrations, data governance, and user access/security.
Experience conducting user acceptance testing, developing procedures and training materials, and providing technical or functional training.
Experience coordinating projects with business users, IT staff, vendors, and external stakeholders; municipal government or regulatory experience preferred.
