Why? Griffith brings together exceptional minds like yours from across the globe and from all walks of life. Here, we do incredible work, questioning and challenging, always in the pursuit of excellence.

The Queensland Conservatorium is one of Australia’s leading music and performing arts institutions, located at the heart of Brisbane’s vibrant cultural precinct in South Bank.

We offer a diverse range of specialisations across classical music, jazz, contemporary music, composition, acting, music technology, and music education. The South Bank facility has a 721-seat proscenium arch fly tower theatre, 200-seat recital hall, orchestral rehearsal hall, four recording studios and many other teaching and performance spaces.

We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Technology Support Officer to provide high quality technical, audiovisual (AV) and IT support for recording studios and teaching facilities. Your exemplary organisational, time management, adaptability, and team skills will be an asset in this dynamic and music-focused environment.

You are fluent in the operation of a variety of audio hardware devices and production software including DAWs (eg. ProTools & Ableton Live) and related processing and instrument software bundles, as well as proficient in the use of video recording equipment, editing software and live streaming technologies. You are experienced in Apple macOS support, software update packaging and deployment, leveraging relevant tools and infrastructure. You are able to work as a part of a small team and autonomously to maintain a broad base of technologies, plan and implement infrastructure updates, and undertake minor maintenance (including soldering and patchbay works) while providing priority support in a vibrant and creative educational 24-hour environment. Knowledge of audio & media production workflows & infrastructure, MIDI, Networking DANTE, RAVENNA, NDI, instrument maintenance, and basic electronics are an advantage.
