ROANE COUNTY SCHOOLS

Position Name: Technology Support Coordinator

Position Type: Extra Curricular

Location: Roane County High School

Qualifications

  1. Must hold or be eligible to hold a West Virginia Professional Teaching, Student Support, or Administrative Certificate.
  2. Must be assigned at least 50% of each regular working day at the assigned school.
  3. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to use technology-enhanced and technology-enabled tools and applications.
  4. Demonstrated, successful experience as a classroom teacher, student support personnel, or administrator is preferred.
  5. Demonstrated, successful experience integrating technology in a classroom environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  1. Troubleshoot technology issues that fall within the coordinator level of expertise and otherwise submit a technology work order.
  2. Monitor classroom and computer laboratory equipment, provide basic maintenance functions, and identify equipment needing repair.
  3. Facilitate routine maintenance of equipment, including but not limited to desktop computers, laptop computers, interactive whiteboards and displays, etc.
  4. Maintain inventory of classroom and computer laboratory equipment using prescribed method and/or system.
  5. Facilitate and provide training for school staff as requested.
  6. Assist with deployment of software and other technology resources as directed.
  7. Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and analyses as required.
  8. Attend meetings, conferences, and professional development opportunities as required.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.
