Salary: $25.45/hour

Job Duties:

  • R esponsible for providing support and service to detention center personnel regarding use of Detention Technology, i.e. electronic access control systems, including IP and PLC-based systems, video surveillance systems and cameras, and detention-related software applications such as Jail Management Systems and Inmate Tracking Systems.
  • P rovides initial review of support tickets submitted by detention center personnel and forwards to the Jackson County IT Department or outside vendor as appropriate.
  • P rovides input in the form of technical information, status reports, or recommendations regarding Detention Technology to supervisor, Physical Security & Safety Coordinator, or other appropriate personnel.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or five years’ experience.
  • Must have a valid Driver License and provide his/her own transportation.
  • The associate is provided mobile devices including phone and laptop and is required to be on call outside of working hours for emergency support requirements.
  • Must submit to/pass a police background and drug screen.
