Technology Risk Assurance Senior Consultant
We are searching for an experienced Technology Risk Assurance Senior Consultant

Make an Impact at RSM UK

Consulting brings together multiple teams across Transactions, Risk & Consulting, ABA, and Outsourcing to provide client-centric solutions for RSM’s current and future clients within the middle market. Our Consulting team has a major role to play in driving forward the growth of the firm with over 1,700 people delivering almost £200m revenue.

At the heart of Consulting are the six solutions we offer our clients: business transformation, deal services, finance function support, risk and governance, forensic and investigation services, and restructuring. Our solutions create an enhanced tailored approach to support our clients in achieving their strategic goals and empower our people to make an impact and develop their own unique career path.

RSM’s national Technology & Cyber Risk Assurance (TRA) practice provides assurance, advice, and solutions to enable our clients to manage their digital risk and move forward with confidence.

Our local client portfolio includes some of the most interesting and prestigious organisations that operate within the Not for Profit sector (e.g. healthcare, charities, social housing, education and local / central government), financial services (e.g. Fintech, insurance, building societies), and corporates (e.g. technology, manufacturing and automotive).

As a Senior Consultant within Technology Risk Assurance, you will work collaboratively with other teams across RSM to best serve our clients, guided by good practice principles, and the latest technologies. You’ll work on engagements ranging from digital strategy and project management to cyber risk and cloud security to data protection and information governance.

You will make an impact by:

  • Helping our clients manage their IT controls and risks by advising our clients on how to address their technology risk challenges, using your expertise and experience to identify where improvements to controls can be made and suggesting innovative and value-added solutions
  • Successfully performing more complex TRA assignments
  • Supporting the development of others in the team
  • Managing the delivery of each assignment, to ensure that the work is completed to time and budget, providing solutions on any issues as appropriate to the Director / Partner
  • Building relationships with clients and identifying potential additional work opportunities and feeding this back to managers

What we are looking for:

Are you someone who thrives on variety, loves learning new things, and enjoys connecting with people? If you can spot inefficiencies in everyday life and are passionate about making improvements, this role is perfect for you!

We value diverse experiences and perspectives. Here’s what we’re looking for in our ideal candidate:

  • Professionally qualified e.g. CISA, CISM, CISSP or equivalent with relevant experience within IT Audit, preferably within professional services
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and deliver work within budget in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively, taking ownership of assignments through to successful completion
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience producing high-quality documentation and reports, and confidence in client-facing environments
  • Committed to delivering a premium client service, with a proactive and professional approach, and willingness to travel to client sites and offices as required

What we can offer you:

We recognise that our people are our most important assets. That’s why we offer a flexible reward and benefits package that will help you have fulfilling experience, both in and out of work.

  • 26 Days Holiday
  • Lifestyle, Health, and Wellbeing including financial wellbeing benefits such as financial tools, electric car scheme and access to a virtual GP
  • Access to a suite of 300+ courses on demand developed by our inhouse Talent Development team
