Liberal Arts Instructional Technology Services (LAITS) is seeking highly skilled and motivated professionals to assist with the operations of a unique service department dedicated to creating, maintaining, and promoting technology within the College of Liberal Arts at The University of Texas.

Purpose
Provides operational support for technology projects by managing equipment intake, inventory tracking, and material preparation. Assists with organizing and staging equipment to ensure projects are supplied accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities
Perform inventory, receiving, transport, and general project support tasks for technology operations.
Verify shipments, label equipment, track asset data, and maintain organized storage and inventory records.
Support installation teams and maintain shop cleanliness, including packaging disposal and material staging.
Current student enrollment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to follow defined processes and work independently
Ability to perform both physical and task-based work consistently
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Prior experience in a hands-on or operational role (e.g., inventory, warehouse, facilities, technical support, or similar)
Demonstrated ability to manage tasks independently and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment
Experience accurately tracking information or working with detailed data (e.g., inventory systems, spreadsheets, asset tracking)
Proven reliability in previous work or academic responsibilities (consistent attendance, meeting deadlines, follow-through)
Valid driver’s license and willingness to complete driver/cart training
$15 per hour
Environmental Demands
May work in extreme temperatures, (moving items a cross during the summer or winter)
Work is performed in a combination of shop/warehouse spaces and various campus locations
Regular movement between buildings and job sites is required
Work is often performed in shared workspaces with frequent activity and interruptions
May work on multiple projects simultaneously with changing priorities
Physical Tasks
Lifting, carrying, and moving equipment, boxes, and materials
Frequent standing, walking, and transporting items across campus
Use of manual dexterity for handling equipment, labeling, and setup tasks
Repetitive use of a computer for data entry, tracking, and documentation
Occasional use of stairs when moving between locations
Flexible Hours between 8am and 5pm, minimum shift time 3 hours.
