Summary:
This role will lead complex IT projects and programs, with a primary focus on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)/network integrations. This role requires strategic oversight, technical expertise, and exceptional leadership to ensure seamless integration of IT systems, networks, and processes during M&A activities and SCADA implementations as well as routine IT projects. The ideal candidate will drive cross functional collaboration, manage stakeholder relationships, and deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- M&A IT Integration Projects
- Lead the planning and execution of IT integration projects related to mergers and acquisitions. Ensure alignment with business objectives by conducting due diligence on IT infrastructure, systems, and applications of target organizations. Develop and manage detailed integration plans covering data migration, system consolidation, and network harmonization. Identify and mitigate risks such as compatibility issues, data security concerns, and operational disruptions.
- Project Management Execution
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders. Create comprehensive project plans including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies. Lead cross functional teams—IT, engineering, cybersecurity, and business units—to deliver projects on time and within budget. Track progress using KPIs and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Stakeholder and Vendor Coordination
- Serve as the primary point of contact for senior leadership, vendors, and external partners during M&A and SCADA projects. Facilitate clear communication between technical teams and business units to maintain alignment and transparency. Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Compliance and Security Oversight
- Ensure all IT integration activities comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and cybersecurity best practices. Implement robust security measures for SCADA systems and network integrations to safeguard critical infrastructure.
- IT Project Delivery
- Plan and execute IT projects (software, hardware, and services) across the organization, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Experience: 10+ years managing large scale IT projects, preferably in the energy sector.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast paced environment.
- Strong problem solving and decision making abilities.
- Proven track record of delivering complex IT projects on time and within budget.
- Experience with SCADA systems, ICS, or OT environments.
- Familiarity with network architectures, protocols, and cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Willingness to provide occasional after hours critical support as needed.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
Preferred

Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, database technologies, cloud platforms, IT security best practices, and enterprise applications.
- 5+ years of experience in the oil and gas or energy industry.
- Knowledge of M&A due diligence and post merger integration frameworks.
- Certifications such as ITIL, Agile, or PMI/PMP.
