The Technology Manager- EP will own capital technology growth and lifecycle management across India.

This role is responsible for driving demand, adoption and long-term expansion of the EP capital ecosystem including 3D mapping systems, RF generators and enabling platforms, while ensuring strong integration with consumable growth and service excellence.

The role operates as a commercial- clinical bridge, partnering with Sales, Marketing, Clinical Specialists, Service and Key Accounts to strengthen J&J’s leadership in advanced electrophysiology.

Core Responsibilities

1. Capital Demand Generation & Market Expansion

- Drive demand creation for EP capital systems

- Build and manage a qualified capital funnel aligned to annual BP targets.

- Identify greenfield EP lab opportunities and upgrade/replacement prospects

- Map competitive installations and develop conversion strategies

- Support tender strategy and value-based proposals

- Lead capital justification conversations with hospital management and procurement

2. Strategic Account Management (EP Focused)

- Own technology relationships with EP cardiologists, HODs, lab heads, biomedical, and hospital leadership

- Develop long-term EP lab development roadmaps for key institutions

- Position J&J as strategic EP growth partner, not just equipment supplier

- Drive ecosystem thinking: capital + disposables + service contracts

- Manage escalations impacting installed base and ensure retention

3. New Product Introduction (NPI) Leadership

- Lead launch execution of new EP technologies

- Identify early adopters and build COEs

- Coordinate evaluations, clinical demos and first cases

- Ensure structured transition from evaluation to full commercial adoption

4. Commercial Education & Market Development

- Collaborate with marketing on planned strategic CMEs, workshops and scientific engagements to execute EP technology awareness programs

- Support EP lab ROI modeling and case volume projections

- Train frontline sales teams on capital value articulation

- Support EP lab setup advisory conversations for new centers

5. Installation Base & After-Sales Leadership

- Monitor installation timelines and commissioning quality

- Ensure strong coordination with service team for uptime management

- Drive service contract penetration and renewal adherence

- Track system utilization and identify growth gaps

- Support upgrade planning and technology refresh cycles

- Maintain high customer satisfaction across installed base

6. Cross-Functional & Commercial Governance

- Forecast capital revenue and pipeline health

- Align capital & NPI inventory planning with supply chain

- Maintain opportunity tracking discipline

- Ensure compliance with J&J Credo and healthcare regulations

Ideal Profile

- 10+ years’ experience in EP / cardiology/ Capital equipment

- Exposure to large private chains and institutional accounts in India

- Ability to handle high-value negotiations and long sales cycles

- Strong stakeholder management across clinical and administrative layers

Education:

- Engineering / Biomedical / Medtech/ Life Sciences background

- MBA preferred
