The Technology Manager (TM) for Evonik’s Soil & Groundwater segment is a global technology leader responsible for product stewardship, innovation, technology leadership, customer support, and sales mentorship. The role focuses on bioremediation, chemical reduction, metals stabilization, and related technologies, supporting the innovation pipeline and representing the company at technical conferences and client meetings globally.

Candidates should be located within reasonable distance of an Evonik facility in the U.S. based on business needs. Periodic onsite presence and/or travel may be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide stewardship and technical leadership for Soil & Groundwater products and technologies.
  • Collaborate with sales on complex project assessments, proposals, and customer interactions.
  • Assist in remedial design and field implementation of customer projects.
  • Research and develop new products and applications.
  • Collaborate with marketing to define product value propositions and messaging.
  • Maintain relationships with senior technology leaders across the industry.
  • Identify potential acquisition candidates and strategic partners.
  • Serve as a technical resource for clients, consultants, contractors, and regulators.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Master’s Degree or PhD in a relevant scientific field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in soil & groundwater remediation.
  • Technical expertise in environmental market and familiarity with various remediation approaches.
  • Broad knowledge of environmental chemistry, field applications, geology, hydrogeology, and soil science.
  • Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.
  • Experience with public presentations and interdisciplinary teams.
  • New business and product development experience.
  • Knowledge of environmental health and safety operations.

Compensation & Benefits:

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. (Specific rate to be determined, but not limited to, geographic location, education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data).

Pay Range : $111,800-$202,900
