Job Title: Technology Management Specialist

Corporate Title: Associate

Location: Pune, India

The bank utilizes a wide range of technologies within its IT landscape, spanning both infrastructure platforms and business applications. As part of the Technology Management team, your role will be pivotal in shaping the direction of our technology portfolio. This involves defining strategies for each technology domain, aligning with the strategic goal of operating like a modern technology company. A key focus will be on product management, leveraging a standardized technology portfolio. Collaboration with multiple TDI teams and stakeholders is essential, as you take ownership of strategy definition, ensuring consistency and clarity in the output. Over time, this role may expand into areas within the GTI Strategy & Architecture team.

Position Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Process New Technology Introduction (NTI) requests end‑to‑end, ensuring smooth onboarding of new technologies.
  • Thoroughly review NTI request submissions, validate completeness, and identify missing or inaccurate information.
  • Engage proactively with requestors to clarify details, request additional data, and improve request quality.
  • Maintain and enhance existing tools built on ServiceNow and Power Platform.
  • Develop automation solutions to reduce manual intervention and improve process efficiency.
  • Perform ad‑hoc data analysis to generate insights that support decision‑making.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, standards, and governance requirements.
  • Handle assigned projects while managing day‑to‑day responsibilities effectively
  • Collaborate with technology design authorities to identify technologies within the bank’s scope.
  • Work closely with product teams and application owners to analyse requirements and define technology strategies.
  • Clearly articulate strategic technologies, shared product platforms, and rationalization opportunities.
  • Identify value‑creation opportunities by simplifying and optimizing the technology estate.
  • Support documentation of technology strategies and roadmaps with clear, consistent standards.
  • Present architectural decisions to senior management, outlining options, trade‑offs, and potential impacts.
  • Evaluate key architectural choices with responsible architects and provide recommendations to governance forums.
  • Coordinate with other Product & Technology Management workstreams, such as Portfolio Management.
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across TDI, balancing support with accountability.
  • Perform well under pressure and consistently meet deadlines.

Education/ Qualifications/Skills

  • BE/ME/MS in Computer Science or a related technology field.
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in IT asset management or architecture roles.
  • Strong understanding of technology architecture concepts.
  • Familiarity with widely used solution architecture patterns.
  • Knowledge of functional taxonomies and lifecycle management.
  • Good knowledge of a wide range of enterprise technologies.
  • Familiarity with financial markets and banking (an advantage).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Task automation and strong knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Proficiency in Python/Selenium.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Data analysis capabilities.
  • Proficiency in documentation and office tools (Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of GCP / Cloud Computing
