Job Description

The Technology Intermediate Business Analyst is an intermediate-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business client needs, document requirements, define and analyze enhancements and derive test cases
  • Identify and establish scope and parameters of systems analysis to define outcome criteria and measure-taking actions
  • Generate and compile reports based on findings, including probable causes and potenital solutions to systems issues
  • Identify risk and consider business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment
  • Assist in redesigning business processes and perform other duties and functions as assigned
  • Filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex material from multiple sources
  • Exchange ideas and information in a concise and logical manner to facilitate communication between business units and IT
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in business analysis or systems analysis
  • Knowledge of business analysis procedures and concepts and basic knowledge of other technical areas
  • Proven analytical, inerpersonal and organizational skills
  • Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects in the stream simultaneously
  • Consistently approach work methodically with attention to detail

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience

The Vendor Management (VM) Lead is a key role part of the Vendor Performance & Optimization team, a function which supports multiple organizations within Citi’s Technology organization. The role adds value by supporting our Business Activity Owners (BAO) with activities that fall under Third Party risk/compliance, Service Reviews, Contracts, and Service Improvement – all revolving around suppliers/third parties support.

The BAO support role is pivotal in helping the BAO with proactive tracking and support completion of all required controls mandated by the Third-Party Management (TPM) Program. BAO Support is there to help the BAO through the whole Third-Party Lifecycle including:

• Working with the third party to ask and answer questions

• Coordinating document requests

• Completing risk assessments

• Ensuring due diligence is completed

• Collaborating with appropriate stakeholders to remediate issues

• Monitoring and reporting on third-party performance rated service level agreements and other performance metrics

• Reading, understanding, and enforcing contracts, including amendments. This applies to new, existing, and reassigned relationships.

• Reporting performance decline or emerging risk issues to management and TPRM team

• Staying current on industry regulations, laws, and news

The VM Lead will need to partner with Management, Third Party Officers, Third-Party Utility, Sourcing, Legal, and other groups to be successful. The role centers around having trust and partnership with various people and functions and leveraging these relationships to be effective and efficient.

The VM Lead may provide support to technology in audits where vendors are either impacted or in direct audit scope pertaining to third party compliance, including the tracking, reporting, and obtaining audit deliverables for management review prior to submission. Additionally, the VM Lead proactively identifies trends and makes recommendations on items such as process and controls. The VM Lead meets regularly with various leaders and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and ongoing operational control dialog takes place. The VM Lead will action concerns, requests, drive supplier facilitation, and implement a flexible governance methodology that supports third party relationship and compliance.

The VM Lead relies on a foundation of developed skillsets and training; however, must also leverage dynamic decision-making abilities and have the willingness to constantly learn and adapt. The VM lead must have excellent organizational skills and do well when working on many different tasks at one time.

The role will have several globally located colleagues, meaning virtual meeting mastery is critical to success.

Job Functions/Responsibilities:

The functions of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Drive discussions and build strong relationships with partner functions, such as Procurement, Legal, Third-Party Management, Risk, serving as a bridge between functions and the business.
  • Drive supplier optimization and efficiencies, such as cost reduction, operational improvements, contract combinations, and other work to drive efficiency and effectiveness for the business.
  • Work with business contacts to establish appropriate risk mitigation activities to minimize risk to Citi. Knowledge and understanding of Third-Party Management and Risk Management, Coordination, tracking and reporting of Third Party Management and Third-Party Risk Management activities within the business and to management.
  • Liaise with the ESC Third Party Utility, as necessary, to review and respond to the results of third-party risk management activities conducted centrally by the Utility.
  • Perform Compliance Assessments as needed, identify/report exceptions and drive remediation activities to sustainable processes. Review, assess and act on results of assessments/controls Manage and/or conduct on-site visits of suppliers, as required.
  • Interact with suppliers on escalations of non-performance and/or contractual issues to drive resolution and service improvement, as appropriate.
  • Monitor and report on third party performance and SLAs, either directly or through coordination with other Citi stakeholders
  • Identify and drive improvements using data.
  • Handling ad-hoc requests from stakeholders and using relationships and knowledge to solve problems. Understanding that every issue is also an opportunity.
  • Drive process improvement and make recommendations to improve ways of working

Qualifications:

● Strong interpersonal, collaboration, influencing, and negotiation skills.

Excellent project management, planning and organizational skills. Must manage/track self

and others, on several different tasks.

●Desire to learn, tackle new challenges as they arise, and grow the role - no day will be the

same.

● 2+ years’ experience in a supplier/third-party function or equivalent/related experience.

● 2+ years’ experience in Project Management and/or related areas using these skills.

● Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral.

● Ability to present complex and sensitive issues to management.

● Experience working with other countries and businesses areas.

Education:

● Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience preferred

● English and Spanish writing/reading/speaking is preferred
