Job Description

The Group Digital Capabilities (GDC) Division ensures Euroclear’s competitiveness by delivering reliable and sustainable IT solutions for the financial securities markets.

Emerging technologies such as Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT), cloud computing, artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and API coupled with strategic trends could be game changers for the financial industry and beyond. Euroclear seeks to seize opportunities created by these modern technologies and strategic trends to develop products, services and capabilities addressing market inefficiencies and strengthen Euroclear’s unique position as a neutral financial market infrastructure.

The Innovation tribe within IT is the delivery arm of these game changing digital capabilities, across business lines and entities. To support its growth and ambitions, we are reinforcing the team with a Technology Growth Hacker.

The Technology Growth Hacker is responsible for evaluating the feasibility of modern technologies and ideas and conducting proof-of-concept (PoC) projects in the preliminary stages of development for different business cases. This role leverages technical expertise and creativity to develop innovative solutions that enhance organizational growth and competitiveness.

In this role, you will work closely with relevant IT teams as well as business teams, clients, and Fintech to identify and explore emerging technologies and innovative ideas that have the potential to drive business value. You will be responsible for designing and executing PoC projects to validate these ideas, ensuring they align with the strategic goals of the organization. Your work will involve collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, establishing the solutions, and do small developments to deliver successful outcomes. You will also be responsible for market watch to hunt opportunities outside the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and evaluate modern technologies and ideas.
  • Function as a technology partner for business when exploring potential new business opportunities.
  • Drive new opportunities from a technical perspective, from the initial ideation, PoC stage, through to supporting the product delivery.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of the current regulatory environment vis a vis other initiatives going on in different geographies primarily in the EU.
  • Be able to evangelise and present the opportunities created by the “to be” adopted technology for Euroclear, as well as being able to understand and demonstrate the risks that it brings, with special focus on competitive elements.
  • Identify and remove blockers and always find the path forward in challenging situations.
  • Operate successfully in ambiguous environments.
  • Collaborate and communicate with relevant stakeholders.
  • Report progress and share outcomes.

Must Have

  • Deep experience designing cloud‑native solutions (Azure preferred), including scalable, secure and cost‑efficient architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of container platforms (Kubernetes/AKS, OpenShift) and microservices design.
  • Ability to define cloud landing zones, identity models, network architecture, and security boundaries.
  • Expertise in modern integration patterns: APIs, event‑driven architectures, streaming, batch and file‑based exchanges.
  • Ability to design robust API ecosystems, interface contracts, versioning, and governance.
  • Experience with hybrid integration (cloud ↔ on‑prem ↔ SaaS) using standardized patterns and mediation layers.
  • Good understanding of data platforms, data engineering patterns, and data lifecycle management.
  • Ability to design secure data flows and govern data domains, quality, and access models.
  • Solid command of security‑by‑design principles, including identity, encryption, network segmentation, and threat modeling.
  • Ability to embed compliance, auditability, and operational resilience into technical design decisions.
  • Proven ability to own end‑to‑end solution architecture, balancing functional and non‑functional requirements.
  • Skilled at leading cross‑functional teams, influencing stakeholders, and driving alignment across engineering, product, and security.
  • Comfortable producing architectural decisions, roadmaps, patterns, and technical documentation.
  • Good grounding in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, IaC , and automated testing principles.
  • Ability to guide engineering teams toward scalable, maintainable, modern engineering approaches.
  • Familiarity with modernization, migration strategies, and refactoring legacy systems into cloud‑ready architectures.
  • Able to explain complex technical topics in simple terms to executives, business teams, and engineers.
  • Confident facilitating technical workshops, discovery sessions, and architecture reviews.
  • Strong decision‑making skills with a pragmatic, value‑driven mindset
  • Exposure to Agile and understanding new emerging technologies such as DLT, AI, quantum computing, and more in professional business environments.
  • Experience with incubation and PoC projects
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • High motivation to work in a team and take over responsibility​.
  • Good English skills in speaking and writing.
  • Experience in developing web applications.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
