Technology Entrepreneur – Textile Integration

Our Materials Centre of Excellence is on the lookout for a dedicated individual that is a curious, commercially minded materials innovator who can spot emerging textile technologies, turn bold ideas into differentiated material solutions, and take them from concept to scale. What you will be required to do:
- Scout and evaluate emerging textile technologies, materials and processes to identify opportunities for differentiated material innovation.
- Translate brand, product and consumer needs into innovative material concepts, development roadmaps and technology solutions.
- Drive end-to-end material development across fibre, yarn, knitting/weaving, dyeing/finishing and garment manufacturing.
- Lead prototyping, experimentation and validation, planning and executing lab, mill and pilot-scale trials and using data to optimize solutions.
- Collaborate across the ecosystem with internal teams, suppliers, mills, technology partners, universities and research institutes to bring new capabilities into the business.
- Solve complex technical challenges and enable commercialization, balancing quality, cost, manufacturability, sustainability and supply-chain readiness.
- Build the Materials CoE’s innovation advantage through technology knowledge, benchmarking, IP opportunities and proactive conversion of emerging technologies into scalable, commercially viable solutions.
What we are looking for:
- Degree in Textile Engineering or a related discipline
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in textile technology, textile R&D, material development, textile manufacturing or a related field
- Strong technical knowledge of fibres, yarns, fabric constructions, wet processing and textile manufacturing
- Demonstrated experience in material development, prototyping, technical trials and validation
- Strong technology scouting, analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to translate technical insights into practical solutions
- A curious, innovative and entrepreneurial mindset, with a passion for exploring emerging technologies and creating differentiated material solutions
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across internal teams and external partners
- Ability to balance technical performance, commercial viability, sustainability and scalability when developing new materials
