Job Description

About Summer Foundation

Summer Foundation works to improve housing and living outcomes for Australians with disability who require access to 24/7 support.

More than 40,000 people with disability with high support needs still face limited housing and support options, often resulting in poor outcomes and lack of choice. We work to change this by identifying, developing and scaling practical, evidence-based solutions.

Working alongside partners, we combine research, lived experience and collaboration to design solutions that improve how people live and are supported.

Since 2006, we’ve helped more than 7,500 young people with disability avoid living in residential aged care, showing what’s possible when better solutions are delivered.

Our culture is inclusive, collaborative and purpose-driven, with a strong focus on innovation, evidence, and better outcomes for people with disability.

About You

You enjoy helping people work better with technology. You’re approachable, curious, and take the time to understand how teams work so you can support them in practical ways.

You bring experience in workplace technology, but what really sets you apart is your ability to work with people. You can explain things clearly, guide others with confidence, and help teams feel capable using digital tools.

You are confident using AI tools in a workplace context and are interested in applying them to improve productivity and ways of working.

You’re proactive and improvement-focused. You don’t just respond to issues, you look for ways to make things simpler, more efficient, and more effective. Whether it’s improving a workflow, introducing a better way of working, or exploring automation or AI, you’re always thinking about how technology can add value.

Above all, you’re motivated by purpose and want to contribute to work that improves outcomes for people with disability.

About the Role

As the Technology Enablement Specialist, you will partner with teams across the Summer Foundation to help them get the most out of technology.

This role focuses on improving how people use systems, increasing adoption of tools, and identifying opportunities to simplify and enhance the way we work. You’ll spend time understanding team needs, guiding people on how to use technology effectively, and implementing practical improvements using existing systems, automation and AI.

You’ll also provide reliable day-to-day technology support to ensure a smooth and consistent user experience.

Working closely with the IT Manager and Systems, Security & Support Engineer, you’ll act as the primary point of contact for user enablement, collaborating to resolve issues and continuously improve systems and processes.

Key focus areas include:

  • Partnering with teams to improve workflows, systems and overall technology experience

  • Supporting adoption of tools and ways of working through guidance, training and documentation

  • Identifying and implementing improvements using automation, AI and existing platforms

  • Providing responsive end-user support and ensuring a reliable day-to-day technology experience

You’ll work across the organisation and with our client group, helping ensure technology enables people to do their best work and deliver meaningful impact.

This is a full-time opportunity, based in our Box Hill, Melbourne office.

Summer Foundation encourages people with lived experience of disability to apply.

We’re committed to growing and empowering a more inclusive workforce, and we welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.

If you have any questions or require any adjustments to the recruitment process, please contact recruitment@summerfoundation.org.au or 1300 935 717.

Applications close on Wednesday 1st April 2026, but we will be reviewing applications as they arrive, so be sure to apply early!
