About this Position

  • This role reports to the Head of Adhesives Industrial KAM, East and Southeast Asia. The Technology Development Manager is the primary technical bridge between Henkel and identified Power segment Global Key Account with R&D at Taiwan HQ and various global locations. This role is pivotal in driving growth by identifying new technology opportunities within the key account’s business groups with priority in their high-potential Business Groups while providing steadfast Application Engineering (AE) support for established sectors.
  • The position requires a strategic, curious mindset to hunt, scout novel and new technologies development with key account and relevant market trends, develop and penetrate under tapped applications and end customer market segment (specifically AIDC/ICT) and the technical aptitude to support complex product qualifications across Henkel’s material portfolio.

What you´ll do

  • Identifies megatrends and future market trends, developments and/or product, service models for growth, investments opportunities.
  • Identifies and defines entry strategy into new markets/segments through and within depth understanding and assessment of customers, markets, trends.
  • Identifies new applications and NPIs in identified market segments and target customers with development of appropriate sales tools.
  • Establishes relevant customer and/market relationships to enhance and maintain intimacy with relevant stakeholders.
  • Leads and develops regional strategies and development plans for key strategic initiatives/market segments/business expansion in line with business unit plans and ensuring execution, for near, mid and long term.
  • Leads and drives/coordinates and manages BU-region wide projects, initiatives, strategy projects.
  • Ensure stakeholder management across BU and regions, collaborates closely with Regional Leaders, Marketing, Sales, KAM, Product Managers, Application Engineers and relevant stakeholders on projects, initiatives.
  • Ensures cross-functional coordination for projects and initiatives.
  • Develops and implements business analysis tools/instruments, analyzes business and market data, provides market and competitive intelligence.
  • Develop & implement market segment penetration and growth strategy and plan for identified global key account alongside Global Key Account Manager in line with global/regional strategy and key account technology, product roadmap.
  • Develops top to top relationships within global key account across functions, regions with priority with technology and product development teams, business strategy and Central purchasing teams.
  • Drive, lead, coordinate, execute relevant market/technology/Innovation programs relevant to subregion/targeted market segments/ KA with key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-regional colleagues and teams to drive new development spec in , qualification, launch, implementation in Global key account, and develop opportunities & projects pipelines, including market/technology focused initiatives.

  • Develop and collaborate with market segment BDM(s), Market Segment Manager(s) , Global Key Account Manager to develop key account relevant strategies, implement and execute.
  • Collaborate closely with BDM(s) and region AE and region Subject Matter Experts for the development of the key account technology and opportunities.
  • Understand and anticipate global market trends to capture new growth & innovation needs through partnering with regional/global teams, to lead key account in their product and technology development roadmap.
  • Conceptualizes programs & activities that drive the key account growth with their focused markets, applications.
  • Identifies new markets, applications, technologies that global key account will move into ahead.
  • Own, lead, drive key account technology and new opportunities, initiatives, meetings, for aligned development, growth of global key account.

What makes you a good fit

  • Master’s degree in chemical engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Possess minimum 10 years of experience in Technical Sales, Business Development, or Application Engineering within the Electronics or Chemical materials industry.
  • Proven track record of working with global leading Power or similar Tier-1 ODM/OEMs is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Thermal Management (TIM), Adhesives, or Semiconductor Packaging material is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Data Center (AIDC), Power Supply, and EV architecture.
  • Ability to translate technical data into commercial value propositions.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional communication skills.
  • Strong leadership experience, with the ability to influence and create impact.
  • Strong B2B experience.
  • Strong financial and P&L skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter.
  • Willingness to challenge status quo and make changes.
