Grant Thornton’s Technology Consulting team works with a broad range of clients to solve complex business challenges through technology. We support organisations across strategy, systemselection,implementationand transformation – helping them unlock value from their technology investments.
We are continuing to grow our team and are looking for an experienced Associate Director to play a key role in delivering client engagements, leadingteamsand contributing to the development of our technology consulting capability.
You will work with senior stakeholders across a range of industries, leading engagements that span technology strategy, operating model design, system selection (RFI/RFP), and implementation. This is a hands-on role where you will combine technical insight with commercial acumen to deliver impactful outcomes for clients.
A look into the role
As a Technology Consulting Associate Director, you will:
Lead client engagements end-to-end, taking responsibility for delivery across a range of project sizes, including leading client meetings, workshops, and presentation of outputs
Act as a day-to-day client relationship lead, building trusted relationships and ensuringhigh qualitydelivery
Lead system strategy and spec & select processes, including requirements gathering, RFI/RFP management and supporting clients through technology selection decisions
Oversee and contribute to implementation and transformation programmes, ensuring delivery is practical, hands-on and outcome focused
Scope and budget client engagements, securing client buy-in and managing delivery within agreed commercial parameters
Interpret and analyse complex information toidentifybusiness issues and develop pragmatic technology solutions
Take overall responsibility for project financials, including managing budgets,monitoringcosts vs. plan, and ensuringtimelyfee collection
Actively contribute to business development, including building external networks,identifyingopportunitiesand supporting cross-selling across the firm
Play a key role in marketing initiatives, including originating content and presenting at external events
Support the development of team members through coaching,feedbackand formal performance management
Provide on-the-job training to Managers and Executives, helping build capability across the team
Support the leadership team in the day-to-day running of the department, contributing to internal initiatives and continuous improvement
Ensure compliance with firm processes, including engagement take-on, documentation and project close-down procedures

Joining us as a Technology Consulting Associate Director, theminimumcriteriayou’llneed is:
Strong consulting experience within a technology or transformation environment
Proven ability to lead client engagements and manage senior stakeholders
Experience delivering technology strategy, systemselectionor implementation work
Strong commercial awareness, with experience in scoping,budgetingand managing client engagements
Experience leading systemselection(RFI/RFP) and implementation programmes
Excellent communication skills and confidence presenting to senior stakeholders
A proactive, curious mindset with a focus on continuous development
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations
Technically astute, with a working appreciation of enterprise architecture across application,dataand technology domains
It would be great if you also had some of the following:
Broad technology exposure across systems,platformsand operating models (rather than a narrow specialism)
Exposure to M&A, IT due diligence or integration programmes
A track recordof building networks, generating leads and contributing to business development
Track recordof contributing to business development: proposals, scoping, and converting opportunities
Experience in developing and coaching junior team members
Relevant professional or technical certifications (e.g.TOGAF, cloud, project delivery)
