Job Description

Arrowstreet Capital is seeking a Technology Business Management & Analytics professional to partner with the COO for Technology and senior technology leaders in driving operational excellence across the Technology organization. This role is responsible for developing the business management capabilities include reporting and analytics that provide leadership with visibility into technology performance, spend, and organizational effectiveness.

The successful candidate will combine strong analytical and technical capabilities with business and financial acumen to build executive dashboards, develop meaningful KPIs, support technology operating reviews, and deliver actionable insights that support strategic decision making.

The role offers the opportunity to help build and scale core Technology business management capabilities across a sophisticated, data-driven investment management technology environment, including cloud, infrastructure, engineering, AI, security, and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

Technology Financial Management & Planning

  • Partner with the COO for Technology, Technology leaders and Finance to coordinate technology inputs into the annual budget, forecast cycles and ongoing spend management and oversight.
  • Serve as the primary Technology-side partner to Finance, helping coordinate high quality budget and forecast inputs, explain cost drivers, improve spend transparency and connect financial plans to operational activity.
  • Analyze budget-to-actual variances, trends, risks, opportunities, and cost drivers; liaise across technology to tie spend patterns to strategic priorities and develop cost management recommendations for Technology leadership
  • Collaborate across Technology to strengthen cloud cost visibility, accountability, tagging discipline and forecast inputs, providing clear insights for Technology leadership as well as Finance for integration into the budget and reporting processes.
  • Identify, analyze, and prioritize cloud cost optimization opportunities related to utilization, commitment coverage, compute, storage, data transfer, managed services, and architecture decisions.

KPI Development, Analytics, and Executive Reporting

  • Design, develop, and maintain KPIs that measure the performance, efficiency, effectiveness, and business value of the Technology organization.
  • Partner with Technology leaders to distinguish between activity metrics, operational health metrics, outcome-based KPIs, and those to feature in executive-level reporting.
  • Build scalable analytics and dashboards that provide timely and actionable visibility into Technology operations
  • Translate complex technical, operational, and financial data into clear insights, narratives, and recommendations.
  • Prepare executive-ready materials for Technology operating reviews, leadership updates and recurring management reporting routines

Strategic Business Partnership and Operational Improvement

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the COO for Technology and senior Technology leaders by delivering timely, data-driven insights that support strategic and operational decisions.
  • Collaborate across Engineering, Infrastructure, Product, AI, Security, Finance, and other teams to improve operating discipline, transparency and decision support.
  • Partner with Finance to support technology investment decisions through financial analysis, operational analytics, benchmarking, organizational insights, and business case development.
  • Help define and improve Technology Business Management processes, including KPI governance, cloud consumption oversight and reporting, operational reviews, organizational analytics, and executive reporting routines.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline manual workflows, improve data quality, and strengthen the link between technology spend, operational outcomes, and business value.
  • Support the preparation and facilitation of recurring Technology operating reviews, including KPI reporting, financial performance, cloud spend, strategic initiative updates, risks, and follow-ups.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Analytics, or a related discipline.
  • 4+ years of experience in Technology Operations, Technology Business Management, Business Operations, Technology Finance, Business Intelligence, Analytics, or a related function supporting technology organizations.
  • Experience in technology operational reporting and analytics within a technology organization.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and building executive dashboards and data visualization solutions.
  • Strong technical aptitude with experience integrating and analyzing data from multiple enterprise systems; experience using AI/LLM tools (e.g. Claude code / Claude cowork) to improve analytics, automation or reporting workflows
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex technical and financial information to senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AWS Cost Explorer or other FinOps/cloud financial management platforms.
  • Experience with Python or similar analytics technologies.
  • Familiarity with data modeling and reporting automation.
  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure, enterprise technology, software development, and technology operations.
  • Experience supporting a technology organization within investment management or financial services.

The base salary range for this position is $115,000 - $290,000 per year.

Arrowstreet Capital operates a robust talent acquisition program, and we also seek to compensate and reward our employees competitively within our industry and in line with our merit-based culture. Our approach to total compensation includes base salaries and annual discretionary bonuses, as well as a robust benefits package. The determination of a successful candidate’s base salary placement within the listed range will vary based on the candidate’s relevant experience and qualifications (which may also include relevant certifications, credentials and other education), the job responsibilities and scope, the commensurate resulting level of the position and other relevant factors. The listed range is also an estimate, and additional information regarding base salary and other elements of total compensation offered by Arrowstreet Capital to successful applicants will be communicated during the recruitment process.
