Job Description

Position: Technologist - Laboratory

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technologist to join our laboratory team. The Technologist will be responsible for conducting various laboratory tests and analyses, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory techniques and equipment, as well as a keen eye for detail and excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform a variety of laboratory tests and analyses, including chemical, physical, and microbiological tests

- Ensure all tests are conducted according to established procedures and standards

- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, troubleshoot any issues, and perform routine maintenance as needed

- Record and analyze test results, prepare reports, and communicate findings to relevant parties

- Maintain accurate records of all laboratory activities, including test results, equipment maintenance, and inventory of supplies

- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects and accurate reporting of results

- Stay updated on industry developments and advancements in laboratory techniques and equipment

- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment

- Assist with the development and implementation of new laboratory procedures and protocols as needed

- Train and supervise junior laboratory staff as required.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field

- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a laboratory setting

- Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, equipment, and safety protocols

- Experience with chemical, physical, and microbiological testing

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

- Strong communication and organizational skills

- Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software

- Prior experience in the oil and gas industry is a plus.
