IKEA Industry IKEA Industry, part of the Inter IKEA Group, is the world’s largest producer of wooden furniture and is an integrated part of the IKEA value chain. Our site features a CTS department, where boards are precisely cut to specific dimensions, as well as sawmill operations dedicated to the production of planks.

At the moment our factory is developing a new production area dedicated to manufacturing furniture back panels. The recruitment process we’re inviting you to consider offers the opportunity to join the team at the project stage and help shape both the infrastructure and the technological process for this new area.

Your Role

The Production Technologist role is focused on working within the manufacturing area related to the production and processing of HDF boards and back panels. . The position is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving optimal production technologies to ensure products meet defined technical, quality, and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • implementing new and improved technologies,
  • developing and evaluating production recipes,
  • supervising technological processes in daily production,
  • driving continuous process optimization
  • preparing raw material requirements, monitoring and settling material consumption, and reporting performance indicators as required.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Degree in Wood Technology, Production Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Practical knowledge of HDF board production processes
  • Knowledge of back panel production processes
  • Experience in supervising technological processes in wood-based panel manufacturing (fiberboards preferred)
  • Experience in continuous process improvement and technology optimization
  • Knowledge of lumber production processes is an additional advantage
  • Strong problem-solving skills in technical and process-related areas
  • Openness to learning and ability to quickly acquire new knowledge
  • Good command of Polish and English (spoken and written)
