Our client is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Technologist in Anaesthesia to join their team in Tripoli, Libya. This is a full-time position with the potential for extension.
As a Technologist in Anaesthesia, you will be responsible for assisting the anaesthesiologist in the preparation and administration of anaesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures. You will work closely with the medical team to ensure the safety and comfort of patients before, during, and after surgery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain anaesthesia equipment and supplies
- Assist the anaesthesiologist in administering anaesthesia to patients
- Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anaesthesia levels as needed
- Provide support to patients during surgery, including positioning and monitoring
- Collaborate with the medical team to ensure proper patient care and safety
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information and procedures
- Assist with post-operative care, including monitoring and managing pain levels
- Stay up-to-date on advancements and changes in anaesthesia technology and procedures
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff
- Participate in training and educational opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Anaesthesia Technology or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Technologist in Anaesthesia
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Strong understanding of anaesthesia equipment and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in computer skills and electronic medical records
