About the Role

Astute Business Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Techno-Functional Analyst (Oracle EBS Procure-to-Pay) to support and enhance our AI-driven solutions integrating Oracle E-Business Suite with modern AI platforms.

In this role, you will serve as a critical bridge between business operations and technical execution within our Oracle EBS (R12) ecosystem. You will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) domain, with a strong focus on the Accounts Payable (AP) module.

This is a high-impact position requiring a rare combination of deep functional finance knowledge and hands-on technical expertise in Oracle data structures and API-based integrations.

Key Responsibilities

Functional & Module Ownership

• Lead functional and technical support for Oracle EBS Accounts Payable, including configuration, issue resolution, and continuous optimization.

• Act as the primary SME for the P2P workstream.

Data Stewardship

• Manage and maintain Supplier/Vendor Master Data.

• Ensure alignment with General Ledger (GL) Chart of Accounts and accounting structures.

Integration Architecture

• Design, develop, and manage inbound and outbound integrations using REST APIs via Oracle Integrated SOA Gateway (ISG).

• Integrate EBS with third-party SaaS and on-premise systems.

Technical Analysis

• Perform complex data analysis and reporting using SQL against core AP and GL tables.

• Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis across functional and technical layers.

Process Engineering

• Document and optimize end-to-end invoice processing workflows, including:

  • Invoice entry/import

  • Validation

  • Approval workflows

  • Payment processing

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Translate business requirements from Finance and Procurement teams into technical specifications.

• Partner with internal teams and external vendors to deliver scalable solutions.

Required Technical Skills

Oracle EBS Expertise

• Strong functional knowledge of:

  • Oracle Payables (AP)

  • Purchasing (PO)

  • General Ledger (GL)

Data & Reporting

• Advanced SQL / PL-SQL skills.

• Hands-on experience with key Oracle tables, including:

AP Tables:

• AP_INVOICES_ALL

• AP_INVOICE_LINES_ALL

• AP_SUPPLIERS

• AP_SUPPLIER_SITES_ALL

GL Tables:

• GL_CODE_COMBINATIONS

• GL_JE_HEADERS

• GL_JE_LINES

Integrations

• Proven experience with RESTful web services.

• Strong knowledge of Oracle Integrated SOA Gateway (ISG).

• Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) is a strong plus.

Financial Systems

• Solid understanding of:

  • GL chart field segments

  • Cross-validation rules

  • Subledger Accounting (SLA)

Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of techno-functional experience in Oracle EBS R12.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.

• Project Experience: At least two full-lifecycle implementations or major upgrades involving third-party integrations (e.g., Concur, Coupa, banking portals).

• Communication: Strong ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• In-depth knowledge of database administration concepts and data management methodologies.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Consulting experience is highly desirable.

• Engineering degree in Computer Science or equivalent preferred.
