Job Location: Ogilvie Shop - Ogilvie, MN 56358
Position Type: Full TimeFederated Co-ops is currently seeking skilled individual with mechanic skills to support our fleet services operations, working out of our NEW state of the art facility located in Ogilvie, MN. This key team member will maintain our diesel fleet, and repair heavy equipment used in our operations including trucks, wagons, sprayers, spreaders, conveyors, and any other equipment needed to ensure efficient and safe operations. The Technician / Welder will maintain and repair malfunctioning components, retrofit engines, change brakes, adjust steering systems, replace worn-out parts, and change hydraulic systems and fluids. May fabricate parts as needed. This position will provide quality preventive maintenance and repair to damaged equipment.
Job Duties of the Technician / Welder:
Perform maintenance and repairs to commercial vehicles and agriculture equipment including but not limited to:
- Diesel engine diagnostic and repair
- Driveline and suspension
- Spreader, sprayer, and other misc. ag equipment repairs
- Hydraulics maintenance and repair
- Welding and fabrication
- Air Brake maintenance and repair
- Steering & suspension
- Lighting and electrical diagnostic and repair
- General repairs
- Heating and air conditioning systems
- Tire repair and alignment
- Preventative maintenance and troubleshooting
If you have a Commercial Driver's License, your license must meet our company safety standards. Class A CDL is preferred but not required.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma.
- 5 years of hands-on experience in diesel and gasoline engine vehicles.
- Experience with commercial hydraulic maintenance and repair.
- Experience with conveyors, agriculture, or construction equipment maintenance and repair is preferred.
- Ability to drive commercial vehicles with a valid CDL is required.
- You should be able to utilize the tools that are essential to the job function.
- Certified welder preferred, but not required.
- Will operate commercial vehicles in support of company busy season as needed.

The employee must regularly lift and /or move more than 100 pounds. Routinely operate computerized equipment along with lathes, welding torches, pneumatic wrenches, hydraulic jacks, screwdrivers, pliers, mallets, and precision gauges. Stand, stretch, and crouch for extended periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and climb or balance.
The wage range for this position is set at $26 - $32/hour. The actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications.
