Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center is seeking a Technician ( PRN)to join our team! We are a 24-bed acute care critical access hospital serving the Florida Parishes region of Southeast Louisiana. We offer a wide range of services including general surgery and a 24-hour emergency department. At Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center, we are able to bring you a wide range of services close to home, provided by a network of board-certified physicians. This Technician (PRN) position performs Phlebotomist duties at Lallie Kemp Medical Center.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
One year of experience or training in nursing, phlebotomy, or as a medical lab assistant, medical lab technician, or in medical research that included drawing blood from patients; OR
Certification or eligibility for certification as a Phlebotomist by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners; OR
Six semester hours earned from an accredited college or university in a biological science or chemical science field, or nursing.
Position-Specific Details:
About this job This is a PRN position, there is no set length of employment, ineligible for benefit package, state retirement, holiday pay and leave earnings, compensation for number of hours worked only.
Work Location: This Technologist position is located in the Pathology Department .
Work Hours: Applicant is subject to work evenings, nights, weekends, or holidays.
CompensationBase pay is $13.00 per hour, plus shift differential pay of up to $4.60 per hour, depending on the shift worked, and certification pay of $1.50 per hour, if applicable. (Please note that shift differential and certification pay are earned only for actual hours worked).
