Job Description

Servequip Ltd is a company in the Maintenance and Rental of Material Handling Equipment, including Port cranes.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician Technician to perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on port cranes and associated equipment. The successful candidate will ensure the safe and reliable operation of ship to shore cranes, rubber-tired gantry (RTG) cranes and substations.
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective electrical maintenance on port cranes and related systems.
• Diagnose and repair faults in control panels, drives (AC/DC), PLCs, motors, sensors, relays, and wiring systems.
• Conduct inspections, tests, and calibrations of electrical and electronic systems to ensure safe operation.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Support installation and commissioning of new equipment or system upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and port authority regulations.
• Maintain accurate service records, logbooks, and reports on maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with mechanical teams and crane operators during maintenance operations.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns or fault reports to minimize equipment downtime.
• Any ad-hoc tasks assigned

Job requirements:
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Electronics, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in electrical maintenance
• Strong knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens, etc.), VFDs, motors, and electrical control systems.
• Ability to work at heights
• Strong understanding of safety protocols
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team under high-pressure environments.
• Operating in 24 hours 7 days working environment, the candidate should be physically capable and willing to work odd hours including weekends and public holidays.
