About the Role

Provides compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100 and customer requirements for the certification of general specification requirements and for the certification of chemical and mechanical testing requirements of material prior to shipment. Safely and effectively plan, lead, organize and maintain the Material Release and Certification’s functions. The role will follow established corporate policies, procedures and guidelines to deliver consistent results to both external and internal customers.

Qualifications (Required & Preferred)

Education: High School Diploma or equivalency (R); AS or BS in Engineering or Business (P)

Experience: Up to 3 years of Material Release and Certification or equivalent experience (P)

Areas of Knowledge: Material Release and Certification Operations, Specification Interpretations. Lean Six Sigma, and 5S Methodology and Metallurgy (all P)

Skills: Organizational, Written and Oral Communication, Computer Operations, Leadership and Interpersonal Relationships (all R)

Role Responsibilities

  • Effectively communicate, adhere to, and ensure compliance with policies/procedures with regard to performing material release and certification functions.
  • Maintain the upfront, further process, and final release work centers. Generate product reviews as needed for material issues.
  • Can generate certifications in both BPCS and QTC for material release prior to shipment as needed to meet production goals, will require weekend/overtime coverage. Modify certifications as requested by sales and/or the customer.
  • Interpret and ensure compliance to the material release and certifications requirements of industry/customer specifications.
  • Effectively train Haynes employees (domestic locations only) who are responsible for the creation of material certifications and manage the training program.
  • Maintain LCS training and accreditation for P&W qualifications. Provide oversight of the P&W LCS system to all domestic service centers with annual audits.
  • Maintain TUV training and accreditation for certification of PED material.
  • Summarize monthly activity for input in the monthly Quality Assurance Report. Provide input for the report in a timely manner.
  • Participate in QTC system upgrades.
  • Interact with Sales and customers on material release and certification issues.
  • Assist Quality Assurance and Engineering with material release and certifications issues.
