Maintenance Technician I (Night Shift 7 PM - 7 AM)

Join Lonza as a Maintenance Technician I and play a key role in ensuring the reliable performance of advanced manufacturing equipment. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality production while growing your technical skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

This is a fully site‑based role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

What you will do:

  • Perform troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of Hard Capsule Machines (HCMs) to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
  • Inspect, replace, and rebuild machine components while maintaining equipment to strict operational standards.
  • Execute preventive maintenance activities, including bar changes, verifications, and quality checks.
  • Analyze trends in machine performance and proactively address issues to support continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with maintenance leads, coordinators, and cross-functional teams to achieve production goals.
  • Maintain compliance with cGMP, safety, and cleanliness standards within the manufacturing environment.
  • Support departmental objectives by completing mechanical and basic electrical tasks, including breakdown and predictive maintenance.

What we are looking for:

  • High School Diploma required; a 2-year technical degree is preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing maintenance, mechanical, or technical roles.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform mechanical repairs and basic electrical work.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Positive attitude with a professional and proactive approach to work.
  • Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
  • required to work the night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
