Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as electric motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Observe mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble
  • Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts
  • Examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections
  • Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements
  • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments
  • Repair or replace defective parts
  • Install special functional and structural parts in devices
  • Lubricate and clean parts
  • Start devices to test their performance
  • Repair electrical equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance throughout all departments
  • Ensure facility and workplace activities are in compliance with applicable governmental and safety guidelines as directed by QA and Safety Coordinator
  • Must follow all safety-required programs including lock out tag out
  • Notify parts department or Team Leader of needed parts
  • Ability to perform duties both outside and inside in varying conditions including extreme heat, extreme cold and wet and/or humid, etc.
  • Disassemble mechanical equipment, identify/worn parts, replace, reassemble, and test
  • Work with enthusiasm and always carries tools when out in the production environment
  • Clean tools and uses proper documentation
  • Maintain adherence to company policies, safety standards and good manufacturing practices
  • Must wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as provided
  • Perform other duties as required or directed
  • Take all opportunities for company offered training

“This role will require extended hours based on production needs, including work to be performed after regular business hours and on weekends.”



Qualifications

**YOU MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE TO WORK FOR MONOGRAM**

High school diploma required. Technical college education or equivalent 2 years’ experience in manufacturing or related field preferred. Ability to understand and communicate effectively. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Must have industrial electrical and instrumentation principles in programmable logic control servo systems, frequency drives, AC/DC motors, brake clutches and preventative maintenance procedures. Includes

  • Industrial experience with conveyors power transmission systems drives and preventative maintenance and background in pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical controls (120v and 24v) 3 phase power
  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting bearings, belts, sheaves, sprockets, chains and gear reducers and proper alignment of these drive devices
  • Experience in the food industry and knowledge of GMP’s and SQF audits would be valuable
  • Technical understanding, Equipment Maintenance, Power Tools, attention to detail.
  • Strong electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic experience.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and a diverse workforce.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Regularly required to push/pull/move 50 lbs. or more. Occasionally ascend/descend a ladder to service equipment
  • Must be able to detect/trouble shoot and operate motorized and heavy equipment.
  • Able to work in environmental conditions, inside and outside to include cold temperatures.
  • Regularly required to operate/move machinery, must be able to exchange accurate information.
  • Frequently position self to maintenance/ service equipment, including under or over equipment.
  • Required to use all personal protective equipment provided by the company in compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Must be flexible and able to work overtime and weekends.
  • Quality, safety minded, reliable, precise, and self-motivated.
