of Facilities Technician Position

The Facilities Technician is responsible for performing basic repairs and maintaining cleanliness in an industrial facility. This role requires a hands-on approach to maintenance across various areas including plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems, while promoting a positive team environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct maintenance and repairs in plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing, and electrical systems.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the facility.
  • Foster a team-oriented atmosphere with a positive attitude.
  • Follow AAR Composites Safety Procedures and Safety Accountabilities.
  • Encourage creative thinking and problem-solving while upholding ethical standards.
  • Participate in ISO, AS 9100, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to lean manufacturing concepts.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum two years in general maintenance of a manufacturing facility.
  • Skills:
    • Mechanical and electrical skills, including the ability to read basic electrical schematics (excluding servo motor control).
    • Hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge.
    • Understanding of basic mechanical physics and PLC systems.
    • Forklift Training/Certification is required.

  • Proficiency in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, mechanical physics, and PLC knowledge.
  • Two years of experience in manufacturing facility maintenance.

Physical Demands/Work Environment

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move throughout the facility.
  • Work is conducted in a warehouse setting, requiring adaptability to a traditional industrial environment.
