Veterinary Technician (LVT) – Heart of Chelsea, New York

Heart of Chelsea Veterinary Group, part of the Suveto network of hospitals, located in Park Slope, New York, New York, has an opening for a full time Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our team. Applicants must hold a current license or be able to sit for the VTNE. Responsibilities include strong client communication skills, nursing care, anesthesia monitoring, phlebotomy, radiography, lab chemistry and records management. Scheduling flexibility is required. Salary based on experience, experienced technicians higher, both include a rich benefit package.

Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures
• Perform diagnostic tests and laboratory work
• Monitor anesthesia and patient recovery
• Administer medications and treatments as directed
• Provide excellent client communication and education
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and staff

Requirements:

• Valid NYS Veterinary Technician license
• Experience in a general practice or emergency setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to ongoing education and professional development

Schedule:

• Full-Time: This position requires some evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays on a rotating basis. Also, it will require filling in at the other Heart of Chelsea locations.
