What You'll Do:

L1 (Apprentice)
-
Troubleshoots, diagnoses and repairs for District heavy equipment
-
Performs scheduled maintenance on District heavy equipment and small engines

Prepares and cleans up job site, taking into consideration safety concerns of self and others, and properly disposes of waste and flammable materials

Diagnoses, repairs, and replaces motor control circuits using schematics and diagrams

Diagnoses malfunctioning equipment, according to blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and manufacturer service manual

Replaces and replaces faulty components

Reviews work orders, prioritizes, and determines supplies for repair and purchases supplies using the District purchase order system

Performs work and cross trains in at least one other trade as an apprentice

Assists with snow removal efforts on a 24 hour on-call basis

Responds to emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
What You’ll Need:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Two to ten years experience and training; minimum as follows: L1: Two (2) years related experience
- Experience establishing computer based preventative maintenance software program preferred.
- Experience in troubleshooting complex automotive electrical systems preferred. Formal training / certification in automotive and diesel mechanics such as ASE preferred.
- Must have and maintain a valid Colorado Driver's License and meet District insurability standards. Technicians L2 and L3 must have or be able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)

- Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us.
