What You'll Do:


  • L1 (Apprentice)

    • Under the direction L2 or L3 technicians: Assists with and or performs all functions of the L2 (Journeyman) and L3 (Master or Multi-Skilled) level position.

    • Performs sports field maintenance.

    • Performs grounds maintenance around sports facilities and related fences and signs.

    • Operates grounds maintenance equipment and perform minor operator equipment maintenance.

    • Measures and marks sports fields and assist in sets up related sports event equipment.

    • Performs minor facility maintenance and repair.

    • Assists with the construction of athletic fields and facilities according to industry standards.

    • Performs custodial-type duties for district sites, All City Sports Complex and Rockies baseball fields.

    • Communicates and coordinates with staff at work site and with other shop staff.

    • Prepares and cleans up job site, taking into consideration safety concerns of self and other, and disposes of waste and flammable materials.

    • Reviews work orders, prioritizes, and determine supplies for repair and purchases supplies using District purchase order system.

    • Performs work and cross trains in at least one other trade as an apprentice.

    • Assists with snow removal efforts on a 24 hour on-call basis.

    • Responds to emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.



What You’ll Need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have and maintain a valid Colorado Driver's License and meet District insurability standards. Must have the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
  • Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education.
  • Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us.
  • Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position.
