America Fujikura Limited (AFL) is hiring customer-focused, sales-minded professionals to join our Canadian Operations as Residential Sales and Service Technicians (SSTs)

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy engaging with customers, building relationships, and recommending solutions that improve people’s day-to-day lives. While technical skills are part of the role, success is driven by your ability to connect with customers, understand their needs, and confidently recommend products and services to meet those needs

Location: Lower Mainland & Fraser Valley, BC (Chilliwack, Abbotsford, Langley)

What You’ll Do

As a Sales and Service Technician with AFL, you’ll act as a trusted AFL brand representative, delivering both technical service and value-driven recommendations to customers inside and outside their homes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Installing and repairing equipment related to home networking and connectivity.
  • Engaging customers in consultative conversations to understand their needs.
  • Recommending and selling products and services, including:
    • High-speed Internet & Optik TV
    • Home networking and Wi-Fi solutions
    • Smart home security and connected-home services
    • Streaming and entertainment packages
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance the customer experience through add-on services
  • Educating customers on available promotions, bundles, and future-friendly home (FFH) solutions
  • Meeting performance expectations across various key performance indicators (KPIs) including value generation and professional sales advising.
  • Taking ownership of your learning by staying current on relevant products, services, and offers
  • Delivering a professional, safe, and positive experience on every visit

What We’re Looking For

Customer & Sales Mindset

  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable with solutions-based / consultative selling
  • Confident making recommendations that add value to the customer experience
  • Experience upselling products or services is a strong asset

Adaptability & Independence

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable multitasking in fast-paced, customer-facing environments
  • Strong communication skills (spoken and written English required)

Physical & Technical Aptitude

  • Willing and able to perform physically demanding work, including:
    • Lifting up to 60 lbs
    • Climbing ladders and poles
    • Working in confined spaces and varied weather conditions
  • Comfortable using tools and learning technical processes (training provided)

Schedule & Availability

  • Flexible to workdays, evenings, and weekends as required

Qualifications

  • Minimum Grade 11 Math
  • Strong computer skills
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with clean abstract
  • Ability to work from heights in various weather conditions during the day and evenings
  • Legally eligible to work full-time in Canada (Work Permit, Visa, Permanent Resident, or Canadian Citizen)
  • Willing to undergo background checks and obtain a Security Alarm Installer License
  • Previous experience in sales or customer service is a strong asset
  • Technical or telecommunications experience is preferred but not required
