This role is part of Advanced Concepts and Enterprise Engineering (ACE), supporting Blue Origin’s mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. The team fosters innovation and drives engineering workflows of the future, shared solutions and standards, simplicity and lower costs, and manufacturable design.
As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible forassisting engineers and technicians with the test setup, design, assembling, testing, and implementation of development articlesbeing integrated to production.This positionrequiresbasicknowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, soldering,helium, nitrogen, aircraftfluids, the ability to readschematics,and familiarity of AS9100.
This position willalsorequireyourdedicated commitment and attention to detailof lab processes, test articles,and maintaininga safe environment.You will also be expected to be flexible to change.Weseek people who are passionate about space and possess a strong desire to continuously learn and improve.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and some electronic understanding
Familiarity with schematics, P&ID’s, and drawings
Ability to modify, assemble, and complete a test setup for testing various test articles
Rebuild of valves, regulators and components
Component level testing
Good troubleshooting skills
Stainless steel tubebending, flaring, and swaging
Working with pressures up to 10,000 psi
Understand various types of fittings
Understand various types of fasteners
Use ofshop tools, equipment, and machinery
Familiar withAcceptance Test Procedures, Factory Acceptance Testing, Customer Acceptance Testing
Experience using and troubleshooting various sensors, pressure transducers,load cells.LVDT’s, thermocouples, power supplies, flowmeters, pressure gauges, servos, servo drivers, electrical circuits, ESD, data analysis, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years’ experiencein related field
Development Lab and Production Lab experience
Hands-on experience developing and executing work instructions
Strong written and computer skills
U.S. citizenship, permanent resident alien status, or otherwise able to review all export-controlled technical information
DESIRED
Basic use of CAD
Understanding of clean room environments
Understanding of precision cleaning
Understanding of oxygen level cleaning
Familiarity with typical aerospace testing and quality processes (AS9100, FOD Control,Lean, 5’s, etc.)
Base Pay Range for:
WA applicants is $29.91 - $41.87
