Job Description

Perform all-around maintenance and repair services in several crafts, such as electrical, carpentry, welding, plumbing, sheet metal, millwright, and painting, at a moderately complex level. Apply skills in a primary craft gained from practical experience. Possess an in-depth understanding of maintenance history of the building, equipment, and other facilities to be maintained. Use expertise for diagnosis and emergency repairs, provide preventive and cost-efficient repairs, use all shop machinery and hand tools, act as leader for less-skilled assistants, consult with engineers and vendors.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Observe, listen to, and test malfunctioning machinery to determine the root cause of failures using precision measuring instruments and diagnostic tools.
• Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance—such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting parts—to prevent equipment breakdowns before they happen.
• Repairs & Overhauls: Dismantle devices, remove defective parts using hoists and power tools, and replace or repair worn components.
• Equipment Installation: Assemble, install, and calibrate new machinery or heavy equipment according to blueprints and manufacturer manuals.
• Part Fabrication: Cut, weld, and fabricate new or custom metal parts to replace broken components when direct replacements are

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Mechanical & Technical Aptitude: Deep understanding of mechanical assemblies, gears, motors, and hydraulic or pneumatic systems.
• Troubleshooting & Analytical Skills: The ability to rapidly identify mechanical defects and system faults to determine the best course of action.
• Physical Stamina: Capacity to stand for long periods, lift heavy machinery, bend, and work in cramped or physically demanding environments.
• Education: A high school diploma
