Job Description

The Technician II – Maintenance will perform repairs, installations, adjustments and preventative maintenance within and around the plant manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, inspect, install, maintain, and repair production equipment, utilities, building systems, and facility infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues by collaborating with equipment operators, observing machine performance, and conducting operational tests.
• Disassemble, repair, replace, adjust, and align machinery components, including electrical wiring and related systems.
• Test and verify repaired equipment to confirm proper functionality and quality of repairs.
• Identify, source, order, or fabricate replacement parts and materials using technical manuals, catalogs, and other resources.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting equipment for wear, defects, or potential failures.
• Accurately document repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment history in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area, including the maintenance shop and immediate workspaces.
• Collaborate effectively with fellow technicians and cross-functional teams to resolve equipment issues and support operational needs.
• Follow all safety, quality assurance, and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies, including consistent use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Perform additional maintenance-related duties and projects as assigned.

What Makes You a Great Fit:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Broad technical expertise across at least eight of the following disciplines: electrical troubleshooting (AC/DC circuits), pipe fitting, plumbing, welding, machine shop equipment operation, sheet metal fabrication, millwright work, refrigeration, hydraulics, pneumatics, and boiler operation.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve equipment issues in a manufacturing environment.
• Commitment to continuous learning, including successful completion of required technical training programs and standard work certifications.
• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing and/or production environment; food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Proven track record of reliability, strong attendance, and stable work history.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Workspace Environment:

• Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ability to work in cold (-10°F to 45°F) and wet environments.
• Ability to bend, stretch, twist, and reach to perform essential job functions.
• Capable of reaching above and below shoulder height and moving throughout all areas of the facility.
• Ability to climb stairs as needed.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry materials using proper body mechanics and multiple muscle groups.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis.
