of Position with General Responsibilities:
Level 2 Technician will be responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing trucks, trailers and diesel engines, suspension and electrical systems.
Essential Job Functions:
Will be able to Inspect, identify, diagnose, & repair/replace the following items, unsupervised
Truck Repairs:
Lighting/Electrical, batteries, brakes (including air system), steering components, suspension, wheel ends and hubs (including seals), fifth wheel components, drive train and all other vital parts to ensure they are in proper operating condition.
Trailer Repairs:
Lighting/Electrical, brakes (including air system), wheel ends and hubs (including seals), doors, & all door components, roof, roof bows flooring all chassis components and abs systems
Annual Inspections/Service, to include lubing truck and trailer chassis components, changing fuel and oil filters. Replacing engine oil with new and performing coolant flushes.
Tires, to include replace tire and rim off trucks. Mount and dismounts tires from steel and aluminum rims.
Ensure compliance with federal and state vehicle repair requirements
Will maintain a clean and organized working environment
