Job Description
Genesis Energy, LLC is an affiliate of Genesis Energy, L.P. a publicly traded, master limited partnership headquartered in Houston, Texas. We provide critical pipeline infrastructure supporting long-lived, world-class developments in the Gulf of America. Our business also includes a diversified suite of Jones Act compliant marine transportation equipment used to transport crude oil and intermediate refined products along the Gulf and East Coast, and major river systems, the production and marketing of other specialty chemicals with no known substitutes and an increasingly integrated portfolio of onshore crude oil pipelines and terminals along the Gulf Coast.
Key Duties:
• Troubleshoot Instrumentation / electrical systems
• Install new instruments and control systems, ensuring proper integration with existing equipment according to technical diagrams and specifications
• Perform routine calibration and adjustment of instruments such as pressure gauges, flow meters, and temperature sensors to maintain accuracy
• Conduct preventative maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctions, and repair electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems to minimize downtime.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance, calibration, and repair activities for compliance and operational review.
• System Upgrades and Modifications: Collaborate with engineers to modify or improve instrumentation systems for safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Conduct safety checks, functional tests, and adhere to all company and regulatory safety standards
• Work with DeltaV
• bend and Install tubing for valves and instrumentation.
• Perform work in switchgears (MCC).
• Wiring 460V 3-phase motor control circuits.
• Troubleshoot motor control systems.
• Install conduit & pull electrical wire.
• Inspect rotating equipment, tanks and piping systems; document inspections as required
• Repair rotating equipment and vessels; repair/replace worn mechanical seals, piping and electrical systems.
• Perform weekly preventative and corrective maintenance tasks on equipment throughout the facility
• Coordinate major repairs/outages with operations
• Perform blinding, purging, electrical lock-out and other functions.
• Participate in all plant safety meetings; report any identified hazards, assist in mitigating any emergency situations
• General plant maintenance on piping, valves, sumps, tanks, pumps, loading racks, electrical systems, VFD, fin fan cooler.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
• High school diploma or GED required
• Associate degree Instrumentation / Electrical Technology is preferred
• Proven work experience as an Instrument Technician or in a similar technical role is preferred
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles, process control, and field instrumentation.
• Excellent mechanical skills, electrician
• Attention to detail and patience
• Must demonstrate integrity, consistency and conscientiousness
• Computer aptitude
