Job Description

  • Support PC’s at all branches. This will include setup, maintenance and problem resolution.
  • This will involve scheduled and unscheduled travel to all branches. Up to five percent Scheduled travel will be required. Most support will be performed via remote control software.
  • Must keep the Asset Database up to date with any new computers, moves or disposals.
  • Routine maintenance and support of printers. This would include cleaning, replacing parts and helping users with problems they encounter while using the printers.
  • Provide user support for IBM System I (AS/400) line printers.
  • Support Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Support remote salespersons’ iPads.
  • Assist Sales Supervisors who work from home with their home network so they can have access to Georgia Crown. This is a courtesy service – the Technician will not be required to go to supervisor’s home.
  • Support handheld computers used in the warehouse and in delivery operations.
  • Support and assist users with the Audio/Visual Equipment located in the conference, training and presentation rooms.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Technical School Diploma, A+ certification, Network+ certification, or equivalent work experience.
  • Must have the ability to forge strong relationships and ability to facilitate team atmosphere to solve technical challenges.
  • Must be willing to accept constructive criticism and handle conflict.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have good organizational skills to handle multiple on-going projects.
  • Good interpersonal, communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and work in a rapidly changing, fast growth environment.
  • Must have and be able to maintain a valid Alabama driver’s license.
  • Must have reliable transportation and ability to maintain 100/300/100 insurance limitations.
  • Background checks (i.e. Police backgrounds, reference checks).

  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record:
  • Cannot have more than two (2): moving violations and/or at-fault vehicle accidents (any combination) in the past three (3) years (for speeding, violations must be under 16mph)
  • Cannot have more than one (1): speeding violation of 16-29mph OR at-fault accident in the past three (3) years
  • Cannot have a major violation such as: DUI/DWI, hit-and-run, reckless driving, and/or super speeder (29+mph) violation in the past five (5) years

About Georgia Crown Distributing Co

Founded in August 1938 by the late Fate D. Leebern, Georgia Crown Distributing Company is a family-owned business. First known as Columbus Wine Company Distributors, the company unloaded the first carload of legal liquor in Columbus following the end of Prohibition.

Four generations of Leeberns have formed the leadership of Georgia Crown: Fate D. Leebern, Donald Leebern, Sr., Donald M. Leebern, Jr. and Don Leebern III. Following the death of Fate D. Leebern in 1946, Donald Leebern, Sr. took command until 1957 when Donald M. Leebern, Jr. took over. In September 1987, the fourth generation, Don Leebern III joined the company. Don Leebern III is the current President of Georgia Crown and Don Leebern, Jr. is the CEO.

Georgia Crown Distributing Co. is a full service beverage distributor with wholesale operations in Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee, selling imported and domestic spirits, wines, beers and specialty products. In 1990, Georgia Crown entered the home and office bottled water business with its new division, Poland Spring Water Distributing Company. One year later, it opened its first bottling plant that produced bottled water from its spring in Dahlonega, Georgia. The home and office water division is now named Melwood Springs, with the bottling facility located in Blue Ridge, Georgia.

Georgia Crown's corporate office is located in McDonough, Georgia, centralizing all corporate sales direction, administration, information systems and accounting functions. Centralization of these functions has proven beneficial both to Georgia Crown, its suppliers and customers. For almost 80 years, Georgia Crown has been growing, changing and diversifying. Georgia Crown is rooted in the past, with a bright and challenging vision for the future.
