The Field Service Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining the Mechanical Packaging equipment at customer sites in good working order. Technicians are also expected to interact with customers and make joint sales calls to offer solutions to customers with mechanical packaging equipment.

Principle Accountabilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform preventative maintenance and repairs at customer locations.
• Orders and installs replacement parts for machines.
• Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently.
• Makes necessary modifications; implements test runs; and makes additional alterations to machinery as needed.
• Maintains accurate records of all repairs and service calls.
• Makes equipment recommendations to customers.
• Complies with company procedures and safety standards.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Two years of related experience preferred.
• Background in Electrical, PLC and Processors along with strong mechanical skills.
• Some fabrication, Metallurgy abilities needed.
• Experience with welding – Stick, Gas, Mig, Tig
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with a team.
• Good driving record and the ability to safely operate a company vehicle.
• Familiarity with mechanical setup equipment – Tray machines & Case Erectors
• Communication and computer skills with the ability to interact with customers, plant operations and sales group. Must be self -motivated, manage time well, and the ability to travel.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Salary range for position: $55,000 - $70,000
• Bonus: Annual – Based upon individual contribution and overall, Company performance.
• Paid Vacation: Three (3) weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.
• Paid Holidays.
• Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages -- medical, dental, and vision – and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages.
• Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions.
