Job Summary:

The Device Testing & Logistics Technician supports warehouse and reverse logistics operations with a focus on testing and grading but will also receive, inspection, track, refurbish, fulfil, and ship mobile devices and related electronic assets. This role is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, serialized asset accountability, quality standards, and customer-specific processing requirements while supporting efficient and secure operational workflows.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Device Testing & Grading

• Perform functional testing and diagnostic evaluation of mobile devices, tablets, and related electronics using approved tools and processes.
• Grade devices based on cosmetic condition, functionality, and customer-specific quality standards.
• Identify defects, missing components, battery issues, screen damage, and functionality failures.
• Perform device wiping, resets, unlocking verification, software updates, and configuration activities as required.
• Accurately document device condition, test results, serial numbers, IMEI information, and inventory status within company systems.

Reverse Logistics/Inventory Control

• Maintain accurate tracking of serialized inventory and device status throughout the reverse logistics process.
• Ensure compliance with asset handling, security, and chain-of-custody procedures.
• Process inbound returns, inspections, transfers, and inventory transactions within warehouse management or ERP systems.
• Support cycle counts, inventory audits, discrepancy resolution, and reconciliation activities.
• Order Fulfillment/Warehouse Support
• Complete order picking, packing, staging, labeling, and shipping activities based on operational demands.
• Prepare outbound shipments in accordance with customer specifications and carrier requirements.
• Operate RF scanners, shipping systems, and warehouse technology to ensure accurate fulfillment and inventory movement.
• Assist with material handling, receiving, and warehouse organization activities as needed.

Quality & Security

• Follow established quality standards and inspection procedures to minimize defects and customer returns.
• Adhere to data security, device handling, ESD, and asset protection protocols.
• Escalate damaged, non-conforming, or suspicious inventory issues to leadership promptly.

Continuous Improvement

• Supports continuous improvement by following established processes, identifying inefficiencies or issues, and contributing to solutions that improve safety, quality, and productivity. Leverages available tools and technologies, including AI-enabled solutions, where appropriate to improve efficiency and streamline work.

Managerial Responsibility

• No direct reports.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand for extended periods and repetitively handle electronic devices and packaging materials.
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to meet productivity, accuracy, and quality expectations in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Must have the ability to properly use a pallet jack/hand truck

Skills and Abilities Required:

• Basic understanding of mobile device functionality, components, and operating systems.
• Ability to identify cosmetic and functional defects in electronic devices.
• Experience using inventory systems, RF scanners, and shipping software preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate serialized inventory records.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production and warehouse environment with changing priorities.
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Must be willing to work overtime or weekends when needed
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite
• Oracle experience a plus

Education and Experience Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in the testing and grading of electronic equipment, preferably consumer cellular devices
• 6 months to 1-year related warehouse experience and/or training
