Your Role in Supporting Our Members:

As a Technician, Branch Maintenance, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring Vancity’s branches and commercial premises are safe, secure, sustainable, and welcoming for members and staff. This role is handson and impactdriven, supporting daytoday operations by responding to maintenance needs, coordinating technical work, and contributing to efficient, wellmaintained facilities. We’re looking for a practical, serviceoriented professional who takes pride in quality work and thrives in a fastpaced, onsite environment.

This is a fulltime, permanent role based at Vancity branch locations and will report directly to the Team Manager, Building Maintenance. This role is 4 days a week, a Tuesday to Friday shift.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Responding to building service requests in a timely manner using the Fixit work order system
  • Planning and scheduling regular maintenance visits across assigned branch locations
  • Performing and coordinating technical maintenance work in line with established standards
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory, safety, and security requirements
  • Troubleshooting maintenance issues to reduce operational risk and downtime
  • Supporting sustainable and efficient building operations
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of maintenance processes and systems
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external service providers to meet business needs
  • Demonstrating technical proficiency in Direct Digital Control (DDC) building automation systems and service request/ticketing platforms (e.g., Facilities or CMMS systems) for effective monitoring, troubleshooting, and work order management.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Completion of a recognized technical, trade, or facilitiesrelated education program
  • A minimum of 2–4 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities operations, or a related technical role
  • Demonstrated experience performing handson maintenance in commercial or multisite environments
  • Working knowledge of building systems, safety practices, and maintenance standards
  • Experience using work order or maintenance management systems
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and current drivers abstract. Ability to travel between branch locations as required
  • Relevant trade certifications or licenses are considered an asset
  • Organized and able to make effective planning and scheduling decisions and manage work tickets on your own.

What You’ll Earn:

This role offers a salary range of $55,300 to $68,250 per annum The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
