What you will be doing as an Avionics Technician - Go Team:
In this role, you can expect to test, troubleshoot, and repair advanced avionics systems directly on aircraft at a Textron Aviation Service Center. You’ll travel within your assigned region to support customers while staying rooted at your home service center when not on the road. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys variety, precision, and seeing their work take flight. Shift is 3x12 Wednesday thru Friday days.
Your responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):
·Advanced Avionics Troubleshooting & Repair: Lead complex functional testing, troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and modification of avionics and electrical systems using FAA‑approved procedures and technical documentation
·Final System Testing & Certification: Perform final avionics and electrical system testing, ensure FCC compliance for all transmitting and receiving equipment, and sign aircraft logbook releases under an FAA Repairman Certificate
·In‑Flight Diagnostics & Validation: Diagnose discrepancies using in‑flight data and customer feedback, take corrective action, and accompany pilots on functional test flights as required to verify system performance
·Technical Leadership & Crew Guidance: Act as crew lead for teams of up to five technicians, guiding troubleshooting efforts and mentoring lower‑level technicians through complex avionics issues
·Customer Collaboration & Issue Resolution: Partner directly with customers to explain avionics discrepancies, provide clear technical debriefs, and resolve concerns with professionalism and sound judgment
·Aircraft Documentation & Blueprint Interpretation: Execute work from aircraft orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, service bulletins, and vendor data to ensure precise, compliant installations and repairs
What you need to be successful:
•A high school education or equivalent is required
•A comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems is required
•Use of arithmetic, blueprints, and specifications along with knowledge of jet and piston airframe and engine principles is required
•A minimum 3 years of diversified experience in aircraft systems, troubleshooting and repair is required
