What You Will Do *

  • Perform surface preparation, masking, cleaning, painting, and curing of aircraft engine components in accordance with approved processes and technical requirements.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, standard practices, and work instructions to ensure repair and painting activities are carried out correctly.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications, and perform touch-up or rework when required.
  • Maintain painting equipment, tools, and work areas in accordance with safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Manage paint shop chemicals and consumables, including monitoring inventory and usage to ensure continuous production support.
  • Liaise with chemical suppliers and vendors to coordinate deliveries, resolve quality or supply issues, and support product or specification changes.
  • Verify incoming chemicals against approved specifications and ensure proper identification, storage, traceability, and shelf-life control before use.
  • Complete production and quality documentation accurately to maintain product traceability.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Planning, Procurement, and Operations to support production commitments and resolve technical issues.


What You Will Learn

  • Aircraft engine component repair and overhaul processes within an aerospace MRO environment.
  • Aerospace coating systems, surface preparation techniques, and paint application processes.
  • Technical documentation, engineering drawings, and repair specifications used in aircraft maintenance.
  • Chemical management, inventory control, and vendor coordination within a regulated environment.
  • Aviation quality standards, regulatory compliance, and Lean manufacturing practices.


Qualifications You Must Have *

  • NITEC, Higher NITEC, Diploma, or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Experience in industrial painting, surface finishing, or aerospace coating applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, standard practices, and work instructions.
  • Basic knowledge of painting equipment, coating application, and surface preparation techniques.
  • Good communication and coordination skills to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Willingness to work in a production environment and perform shift work where required.


Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience in aircraft engine or aerospace MRO operations.
  • Familiarity with aviation quality systems and controlled documentation.
  • Knowledge of chemical handling, inventory management, and hazardous material requirements.
  • Experience coordinating with suppliers or vendors for consumables and production support.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
