Job Description

As a logistics technician you will be responsible for supporting the materials operation in a refrigeration parts distribution organization. Primary responsibilities include tear down, assembly, testing and painting of fully remanufactured compressors. This position will be assigned to work in the materials department. This position works Monday – Friday, eight hours a day with occasional overtime.

Responsibilities include:

• Adhere to all safety requirements and wear appropriate (PPE) Personal Protection Equipment
• Read and understand BOM, assemble and test compressors
• Use of hand and power tools to assist disassembly and assembly of compressors
• Understand method of locating materials
• Load/unload product
• Perform cycle counts
• Support execution of PI inventory
• Disposition of dunnage/recycling
• Effectively problem solve
• Recommend improvements consistently striving for efficient and effective methodologies and maintain departmental quality standards
• Perform 5S, log issues
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Certified PIV Driver
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Must have 1 year experience in a high volume, high complexity, manufacturing environment
• Must have the ability to bend, stoop, stand, and kneel. This position also involves routine lifting of items that typically weigh up to 35 pounds, weight may exceed that value for intermittent periods*
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies
