What You’ll Do

As an Ophthalmic Technician, you’ll play a key role in helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and cared for throughout their visit.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare patients for eye examinations and explain preliminary testing procedures
  • Obtain patient histories and perform diagnostic testing
  • Assist optometrists and ophthalmologists during patient exams and procedures
  • Prepare and maintain exam rooms, instruments, medications, and supplies
  • Coordinate scheduling and help maintain smooth patient flow throughout the clinic
  • Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients and team members
  • Help create a welcoming, organized, and patient-centered environment
  • Support physicians and clinic leadership with additional clinical and administrative tasks as needed

Physical Requirements

This role requires standing for extended periods, occasional lifting up to 15 pounds, and maintaining visual accuracy while performing patient care and testing responsibilities.
